Hi All,

I just wanted to make a quick post of the cutest set of balerinas in the worl. I was shooting for a moms club in Arizona and the girls came in tutu’s. This is a shot of all the girls NOT running around. It is straight out of camera except for a quick lightroom tweak. Enjoy. Let me know what you think if you have a moment.

Hi All,

Long time no write. I have been busy though. My new office in Scottsdale should be operational this comming week. I can’t wait. I would love to show it off to anyone who happens to be in the area. Drop me a line if you are around and would like a tour.

Now on to the explanation of the title. An old friend from school/New York stopped by the other day on his way to the 6th and final stop of his”Boonville USA” project. He is documenting the six US towns named Boonville (not to be mistaken with Booneville). It is a project that he is better at explaining and one which will hopefully bring him much earned attention. The number of photographers that actually fullfil the dream of a long term travel project is miniscule. I am one who had a great idea for a book project only to not go through with it. I can’t give enough praise to anyone who can muster the courage to go through what you must in order to fulfill that particular goal. Congratulations again Tim.

Please go and visit his blog. Realize too that he is doing this with a 4×5 film camera and NOT digital. He is truly a photographers photographer. I can’t wait to see what becomes of the final work. I am in line for a copy of the book when it is published.

Hi All,

It is obvious that I have not been posting every day as was my hope starting the year. It may have outlasted most of my other new years resolutions over the years. I would like to assure you that the time not posting has not been in vain. We here at Keith Pitts Photography have been busy with a few time (and money) consuming things that will hopefully excite our clients as much as it is exciting us. These include:

1. A whole new corporate identity package. From the logo down to the new packaging.

2. A new office/gallery complete with interior design that is not inspired in any way by the southwest themes that are all around Scottsdale (not that there is anything wrong with the southwest mind you).

3. Our first ever (but definitely not last) seminar for the photographically challenged. It was an intimate affair at Tastings Wine bar and Bistro. The topic was “How to photograph your children better with the camera you already own”. My fear of public speaking got squashed as I had a wonderful time sharing some basic tips that can be applied to just about any camera and subject (portrait).

Hi All,

Here is an outtake from todays shoot for the Phoenix Suns. It was for various promo materials for the team to promote the newest addition. I am not going to name him but you all know who he is. This was shot on chroma key so that the art department can add whatever background they wish. I tried a quick mask but my shooting is better than my photoshoping. It does look pretty cool though ( I think). The subject is a very nice, funny and accommodating person. I hope he brings whatever it is the Suns need in order to win the championship this year. Go Suns!

Hi All,Tonight’s portrait is of my dog “Pooch”.  She is a Jack Russel terrier in case you didn’t know. She is not a look alike for the dog that used to play “Eddie” on the show “Frazier”. I am always amazed at how different the same breed can look. For whatever reason there are people out there who don’t find her as beautiful as I do.
